Do you ever get so caught up in the big moments of your life and then look back on them and realize they were such a drop in the bucket? I’ll admit that there have been a few things that have actually really been as big as flying dinosaurs over a city, but for the most part, it’s like a fly buzzing around your head…causing an intense obsession for a brief moment in time and than forgotten when it flies away.
This summer has been flying by in a blur of hard work and completed deadlines. The next ten days are going to be interesting. There are flies buzzing and a dinosaur is about to take flight. Which has made me go into a bit of denial about the amount of work I have to accomplish and what will happen after the ten days are over. I think it might be a stress defense mechanism or something.
In the next ten days will be Austin Fashion Week, The first Summer Austin Craft Riot Show…which I am not in but on the board of and the co-chair of the promotions team, so lots and lots of work is being done, and of course, the launch of the new line (!!!!). It’s a bit overwhelming.
I do realize that with the launch of the new line it will actually be just the beginning of a new very busy endeavor for Manic Trout but I can’t seem to wrap my head around that quite yet. I still think of it as a fly.
