Give me some more of that jiggly red jell-o…
As a wee girl, I was not allowed to have sugar. Nada, zip, zero, nil sugar of any shape or form until I was 6 years old. Thats when I met my first marshmallow, yelled at my mom that she deprived me, started eating boxes of cake mix in the closet and began a 25 year binge. Last February after a particularly stressful Holiday season with Manic Trout which brought my sugar consumption level to over a pound of candy a day, I knew it was time to quit. I’ve been a good girl, I allow myself a few pieces on the high candy holidays…Easter, Halloween, Christmas & my birthday…but that’s it…if I start I cannot stop.
I have however developed one weird little weakness…I have have begun eating a sugar free jello-o snack pack every day. How on earth did that happen you wonder? Well, it all began last fall when I accidentally went grocery shopping hungry and came home with 4 six packs of snack packs…thats 24 servings of jell-o for those of you not in the know.
I still have no idea why I desired jell-o so much that day…but I do know that if you are ever in my studio at about 4:30 pm, you better get your spoon ready…’cause thats Jell-o time.
