Learning to pause
I am trying to enjoy myself as much as possible this December. Its my super busy, crazy time of year, but it’s also my favorite. I love the hustle, the bustle, the excited anticipation of the holidays and the new year. I however often forget to breathe, to take care of myself and to stop in the midst of the whirlwind, look around and think…this is what I love the most. On Saturday night after day one of the Cherrywood Art Fair, I picked up Adam on my way home and we grabbed an extremely quick bite at Opa (amazing Greek food and more often than not, live music outside). While waiting for my gyro, I snapped a few photos of one of the musicians with her phone so she could fb, instagram etc and laughed to myself that we’re all the same. A few minutes later as I was enjoying sitting still for a few minutes while I ate dinner, I looked up…and paused. It’s amazing that such a beautiful and inspirational moment you can happen if you just take the time to stop for a second.
