    This comes from the false attribution when one believes “of course I am great (whatever), great (whatevers) do x,y,z…and I do all of those!”
    This is creating the definition, of love in your example, based upon yourself. It makes a mature person to realize that people are not all like you, and this more than okay it is amazing!

    These thoughts push people into either/or choices forgetting about the wonderfulness that stems from poly-ocular view of love, relationship, friendships and leadership.
